Fort Worth, Texas— The football community league has less teams than in the past. Possibly due to the economic downturn trickling through the streets of many urban cities-Como not being sparred. The football teams, in only their second game, are showing the kind of poise to win and the character that comes with defeat.

This weekend Como football rounded out at 50% (that’s including all four teams). The Flag team and the B-team suffered loss while the remainder of teams displayed poise in overcoming their opponents.

B-Team found an equally matched opponent in the Forrest Hill Chaps. It was a running backs dream.

Inspite Lion turnovers and misscues cheerleaders were in their corner,

Lion running back takes this one to the house.

To win this one somebody has to make a stop. Como defense lines up.

Swarming to the ball-Como provided intensity on the defensive end.

Fumbles like this kept the Chaps in the game and made it hard for Como to overcome.

With one man to beat, Lions were a play away from win.

A-Team cheerleaders have something to cheer about this year.

Early in the first quarter the Lions found themselves backed against the goal line. T.Jackson pops through a hole for a 96-yard TD.

Como let their swarming, got-to-the-ball defense do the talking.

The game wasn’t a route but Como was in total control. Watching them line up and execute was worth watching.

For the football fans who haven’t been able to attend any games the next one is scheduled at Western Hills practice facility. Considered home for the mighty, mighty Lions.
