Como Lions place two teams in Super Bowl
Fort Worth, Texas—All season Como Lions community football fans attended and expected to see all four teams perform, from the beginner flag level to the A-team pre-teens, in respective succession on he same field. Well they should being that’s the format fans have come to expect-past seasons included. While the Lions fielded 3 teams (the Flag; the C-Team and the A-Teams) two performed at Monning Elementary, the flag team, (because of their record) was scheduled at Trinity Christian.
Lion fans were split up this Saturday and unfortunately the lone team who will missthis years Super bowl appearance will be the Flag Team. The Flag team ended regulation tied at 8-8 and lost 14-8 in overtime. Sadly the kick-off times overlapped and Damoonman’s could only provide photos for the Monning games.

The C-Team under coach by Lou Washington was prepared for todays game. Focused they showed poise fought through a heavily penalized game. Once they adjusted to the officiating and didn’t let the numerous off-side calls on their opponent they established a rhythm and tempo en route to a 28-8 victory.
Likewise the A-Team managed to keep a focus as they showed why the Como Lion football program has been the flagship for the league this season. Most of these young men, as in the past, have graduated the Como Lion program to impact athletic programs at public and private schools throughout the Ft.Worth area. Final score:
The public is encouraged to come out and support the Lions two entries to this years Super Bowl on October September 23, 2010 at the old Maverick Stadium on the campus of UTA in Arlington, Texas. The C-Team plays Forrest Hill at 11:00pm; the A-Team plays the Fort Worth Horned Frogs at approximately 3:00pm.
