Mighty Lions kick off season with homecourt victories

Lions flag team celebrates after lopsided victory over Eastside Katz

Fort Worth, Texas—The recent NFL activities that locked out football union members has caused great anticipation around the country for the average American football fan. For community football teams like the Lake Como Lions, they never missed a beat. The coaches conducted their summer camps and held their practices despite the 100 degree temperatures.  This Saturday the Lions held their first game of the season and the victim unfortunately was the Eastside Katz.

The Lions fans were not disappointed. This years newest member, the flag team displayed skills beyond their age as they blanked the Eastside Katz. The same was true for the C-team as they kept Katz’s C-team from scoring. We sadly have to report that comoathletics.wordpress.com only covered the Flag-team and the C-team. Next home game we’ll cover the A & B teams.
